The Rehoboth Christian Lynx will take on the Miyamura Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Rehoboth Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.

While Rehoboth Christian's win against Gallup wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Rehoboth Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Gallup on Tuesday, sneaking past 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lynx as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jonathan Zylstra and Trajen West were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Zylstra struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits. Meanwhile, West pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. At the plate, Zylstra went 2-for-3 with one home run and two stolen bases, while West went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Zylstra has posted since back in May of 2024.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Zach VanDrunen, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Rehoboth Christian lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Miyamura fell victim to Grants and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 10-0 to the Pirates. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Patriots' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Rehoboth Christian's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Miyamura, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-6.

Friday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Rehoboth Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .452. However, it's not like Miyamura struggles in that department as they've averaged .444. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
