Soccer Game Preview: Chapel Hill vs. North Lamar

Chapel Hill hasn't had much luck against North Lamar recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Chapel Hill Red Devils will venture away from home to square off against the North Lamar Panthers at 6:45 p.m.

Chapel Hill headed into their last matchup having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Westwood let them put that streak behind them. Chapel Hill never let Westwood onto the board and left with an 8-0 win on Thursday. That looming 8-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Red Devils yet this season.

Meanwhile, while North Lamar scored more goals than they have all season, the final result was a bit underwhelming. They and Gainesville finished up their contest with a 3-3 draw on Friday.

North Lamar's draw gives them a new season record of 2-1-2. As for Chapel Hill, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Chapel Hill suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to North Lamar in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Chapel Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
