Baseball Game Preview: Pollok Central Bulldogs vs. Diboll Lumberjacks

Pollok Central hasn't had much luck against Diboll recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Bulldogs will head out to challenge the Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. Pollok Central will be strutting in after a win while Diboll will be coming in after a defeat.

Pollok Central lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Newton, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 13-2 victory on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last seven games.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 19 runs the game before, Diboll was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They fell just short of Huntington by a score of 3-2.

With the win, Pollok Central broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-17-1. As for Diboll, their loss dropped their record down to 18-7-1.

Pollok Central couldn't quite get it done against Diboll when the teams last played two weeks ago as they fell 4-1. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
