Football Recap: Minerva Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Minerva's offense. They were beaten by the Alliance Aviators 35-0 on Friday. Considering the last time the Lions couldn't score was back in August, the team can't take the result too hard.

Minerva's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-4. As for Alliance, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

Looking ahead, Minerva will face off against Carrollton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will be up against the Warriors' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.78 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Alliance, they will square off against Marlington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Aviators will be up against the Dukes' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.56 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
