Basketball Recap: Whiting Takes a Loss

Whiting was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Bowman Academy Eagles, falling 70-27. Having soared to a lofty 57 points in the game before, the Oilers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Whiting's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Bowman Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Whiting has already played their next matchup, a 79-27 defeat against Illiana Christian on the 10th. As for Bowman Academy, they will head out to challenge Marquette Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bowman Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
