Basketball Recap: Larimore Beats Cavalier for Their Sixth Straight Win

Larimore waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They strolled past the Cavalier Tornadoes with points to spare, taking the game 56-42. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Polar Bears also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Larimore's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jace Collison led the charge by going 9-for-18 en route to 22 points and three steals. Baron Burns was another key player, going 7-for-16 to rack up 16 points and seven assists.

Larimore's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.3 points over those games. As for Cavalier, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Looking ahead, Larimore will be playing at home against Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cavalier, they will head out to square off against Nelson County co-op [Lakota/Dakota Prairie] at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
