Baseball Recap: South Tahoe Vikings vs. Sparks Railroaders        
        
		
            
 South Tahoe put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season  on Monday. They were the clear victor by  a  15-2 margin over the Sparks Railroaders. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for South Tahoe.
  Haden Stephen was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. Stephen was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 4-for-4 with five  RBI, a  triple,  and a  stolen base.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kyle Herrera, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while going 3-for-4.  Brodie Wallisch was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-2.
 On Sparks' side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Josh Rico, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases.
 South Tahoe has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 10-15 record  this season. As for Sparks, they are  on  a  ten-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-21.
 South Tahoe will head out on the road to  square off against  Elko at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Elko will roll in looking for their  sixth straight  win, something South Tahoe surely won't give up without a fight. Sparks does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
