Given Potomac Falls' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 11th, while North Stafford is ranked 230th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Potomac Falls was led to victory by Colby Margenau and Johnny Opiola. Margenau scored 12 points along with 5 rebounds, while Opiola scored 14 points along with 4 steals. The game was Margenau's fifth in a row with at least ten points. David Marshall was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 5 rebounds.
Potomac Falls pushed their record up to 8-0 with that win, which was their seventh straight on the road. As for North Stafford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
Potomac Falls will head out on the road to face off against Heritage at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for North Stafford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Brooke Point at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
