Baseball Recap: Schoharie Comes Up Short

Schoharie fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Schenevus Central on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons. The Storm were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Schoharie saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lawrence Zuefle, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Schoharie's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Schenevus Central, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Coming up, Schoharie will take on Fort Plain at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Schenevus Central, they will host Cherry Valley-Springfield at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
