Recap: Aqsa Legends vs. Universal Stars
The Aqsa Legends scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. Everything went their way against Universal as Aqsa made off with a 56-31 win. The score was close at the half, but Aqsa pulled away in the second half with 40 points.
Aqsa's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fatmah Sughayar, who scored 20 points. That's the first time this season that Sughayar scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gisele Arouri, who scored 18 points.
The victory (which was Aqsa's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3. As for Universal, they bumped their record down to 1-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Aqsa will head out on the road to take on Islamic Foundation at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Universal, they will be playing in front of their home fans against College Prep of America at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
