The Trinity Oaks Christian Academy Huskies can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Valeo Academy 59-30 at home. Trinity Oaks Christian Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Trinity Oaks Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Josh W, who scored 18 points along with nine steals and seven rebounds. That's the first time this season that W scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Sean M, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Valeo Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Carnes, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Aguilar, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Trinity Oaks Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Valeo Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Oaks Christian Academy will take on Quentin Road Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Quentin Road Christian is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Valeo Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Christian Life at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Christian Life's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
