Softball Recap: Marion Center Stingers vs. River Valley Panthers

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against DuBois Central Catholic, Marion Center was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They skirted past the River Valley Panthers 7-6. That's more bragging rights for Marion Center, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

For River Valley's part, Izabella Speal was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs. Maren Dunlap was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Marion Center's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for River Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
