Baseball Recap: Gilbert Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Gilbert Classical Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Heritage Academy Heroes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Heroes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-6 back in March.

Gilbert Classical Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hobey Hartman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Gilbert Classical Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Heritage Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Gilbert Classical Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against San Tan Charter on the 13th. As for Heritage Academy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 9-6 win against Tempe Prep on the 14th.
