Softball Recap: Mendota Comes Up Short

Mendota fell victim to San Joaquin Memorial and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 15-0 to the Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Aztecs' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

This is the second loss in a row for Mendota and nudges their season record down to 0-2. Those defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 6.5 runs this season. As for San Joaquin Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mendota will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on Madera South at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Joaquin Memorial, they will face off against Parlier at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
