Mountain Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was McKynlee Miller out in front who had 27 assists and 11 digs. Those 27 assists gave Miller a new career-high. Madi Ryan was another key player, getting 18 digs and two assists.
Meanwhile, Copper Hills sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Cedar Valley on Wednesday.
Copper Hills got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The final score came out to 25-13, 24-26, 28-30, 25-20, 15-11.
Mountain Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 24-3. As for Copper Hills, their win bumped their record up to 10-17.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's match: Mountain Ridge has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 7 aces per game. However, it's not like Copper Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 9.2 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
