Basketball Recap: Nebraska Christian Takes a Loss

Nebraska Christian has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 54-43 to the Fairbury Jeffs on Thursday.

Fairbury found their leader in sophomore Evelyn Timmons, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 11 boards. The dominant performance gave Timmons a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Izzy Ohlde, who posted 13 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals.

Nebraska Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Fairbury, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nebraska Christian will host Doniphan-Trumbull at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fairbury, they will square off against Diller-Odell at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Diller-Odell is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season.
