Volleyball Recap: Avon Pirates vs. Corsica/Stickney Jaguars
Avon and Corsica/Stickney squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Avon had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Jaguars by a score of 3-2. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jaguars earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Lexi Vanderlei and Jordyn Voigt certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Vanderlei had 20 digs and two aces, while Voigt had 14 digs and two aces. Voigt has been hot, having posted 13 or more digs the last eight times she's played.
