Basketball Recap: Payne Tech Comes Up Short

Payne Tech was the 73-67 winner over Newark Tech when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Payne Tech Lions were just a bucket shy of victory on Saturday and fell 56-55 to the Newark Tech Terries.

Payne Tech now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Newark Tech, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Payne Tech will head out to challenge Eastside at 5:00 p.m. on January 5, 2025. As for Newark Tech, they will head out on the road to square off against Bloomfield at 11:30 a.m. on January 4, 2025.
