Rancho Cucamonga got themselves on the board against Los Osos on Thursday, but Los Osos never followed suit. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Grizzlies, sneaking past 1-0. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by just one run.

The team relied heavily on Jordin Washington, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases.

The victory made it two in a row for Rancho Cucamonga and bumps their season record up to 11-15. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Los Osos, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.

Rancho Cucamonga and Los Osos could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 309th) will meet Etiwanda (ranked sixth) at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Los Osos will take on Upland at 3:15 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (446 vs. 117).
