Nebraska high school football playoffs: State championship games set for all seven classifications this weekend

Unbeaten Omaha Westside, Elkhorn South set to meet for Class A title.
The high school football playoffs in Nebraska come to a conclusion this weekend with state championship games in all seven classifications. Contests will be held at home sites of the higher seed in Class A, B, C1, C2, D1 and D2 while the D6 title game will be held at Cope Stadium in Kearney.
In the state's large school classification, unbeaten Omaha Westside (11-0) takes on Elkhorn South (10-1) on Friday at 7 p.m. Westside is looking to win its first state title since 1982 after losing efforts in the final in 2006, 2013 and 2019.
Elkhorn South's last state crown came in 2016, part of back-to-back unbeaten championship runs in Class B.
