Soccer Recap: Creekview Comes Up Short

After flying high against Lake Dallas on Thursday, Creekview came back down to earth. The Creekview Mustangs fell just short of the Wimberley Texans by a score of 2-1 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 409th, while the Texans are ranked 50th).

Creekview's goal came courtesy of Emma Duarte, which was the first she's scored this season.

Creekview's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Wimberley, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Creekview has already played their next game, a 5-0 loss against Highland Park on the 22nd. As for Wimberley, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 5-0 win against Temple on the 18th.
