Softball Recap: Glen Allen Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Glen Allen had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the nine-run drubbing they dealt J.R. Tucker on Tuesday. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 10-1 victory. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by nine runs or more this season.

Jaidyn Tillman made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other pitching news, Heidi Gill looked comfortable as she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Alison Via was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ila Goding, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI.

Glen Allen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as J.R. Tucker only posted a batting average of .286.
