Basketball Recap: Somerville Takes a Loss

Somerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 48-24 to the Bremond Tigers. The Yeguas were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Rhett Olson was nothing short of spectacular for Bremond: he almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. Tristan Morehead was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 11 points.

Somerville's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Bremond, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Somerville will square off against Mumford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bremond, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Bremond Tigers face off against the Burton Panthers at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
