Football Recap: Roncalli's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Roncalli couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell 12-7 to the Coleman Cougars on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 40 points in the game before, the Jets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Coleman was led to victory by Kolton Peters and Wyatt Bieber. Peters gained 151 total yards and a touchdown, while Bieber rushed for 90 yards and one score. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 53 yards.

Roncalli moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Coleman, their win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2.

Roncalli does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coleman, they will head out to face off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Lancers have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups.
