Basketball Recap: Steven Bubon's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Howland over Alliance

Howland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost to the Alliance Aviators on the road by a 52-37 margin. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 345th, while the Aviators are ranked 112th).

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Steven Bubon, who posted nine points. Luca Naples was another key player, putting up five points.

Howland's record now sits at 8-14. As for Alliance, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Looking ahead, Howland will square off against Barberton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alliance, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
