Basketball Recap: Magdalena Skates Past Reserve with Ease

Magdalena won the last time they faced Reserve and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Magdalena Steers blew past the Reserve Mountaineers 84-16. The Steers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Magdalena's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeffrey Stuteville, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds. Stuteville is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ayden Herschbach, who went 8-for-10 en route to 19 points and six boards.

Magdalena has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.5 points over those games. As for Reserve, their loss dropped their record down to 5-16.

Coincidentally, Magdalena and Reserve will both be playing Cliff the next time they take the court. Reserve will host Cliff at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Magdalena will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
