Soccer Recap: Holly Grove Christian vs. Faith Baptist School
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sussex Tech, Holly Grove Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Faith Baptist School Falcons a 3-0 shutout. The win was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.
They hit Faith Baptist School with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Caleb Webster,
Caleb Bradford, and
Logan Widdowson.
Holly Grove Christian's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 1-10-1. As for Faith Baptist School, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Holly Grove Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Faith Baptist School, they are on the road again on Friday to play Calvary Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m.
