Basketball Recap: York Prep Gets the Win

Central typically has all the answers at home, but on Wednesday York Prep proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 72-60 victory over the Central Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Patriots: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 71-66 loss.

Central's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Demetrius Myers, who posted 18 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Myers a new career-high in steals. Another player making a difference was Caden Edmond, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

The win made it two in a row for York Prep and bumps their season record up to 15-10. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.5 points over those games. As for Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-10.

As of now, neither York Prep nor Central have any future games scheduled.
