Preview: Ridgeview vs. Springfield
Ridgeview have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They take on Springfield at 7:00 PM. Ridgeview will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each match than the last.
Ridgeview took their matchup against Willamette last Friday by a conclusive 54-28 score. Ridgeview were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 13-54, which was the final score in Springfield's tilt against North Bend.
Ridgeview's victory lifted them to 2-3 while Springfield's defeat dropped them down to 2-3. In their win, Ridgeview relied heavily on senior Griffin Dietz, who rushed for 158 yards and 1 touchdown. Springfield will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
