Softball Recap: Hart Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Hart and JW North squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Hart had to settle for second. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (4-3), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.

Jessica Gutierrez was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run. Another player making a difference was Sadie Curtis, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hart's loss dropped their record down to 10-17. As for JW North, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-10 record this season.

Hart does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for JW North, they will face off against Western Christian at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Huskies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Fighting Lancers have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
