Volleyball Recap: HCYA Falls to FBCHA

If HCYA was feeling good off their 3-0 takedown of Brazosport Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. HCYA fell 2-0 to the FBCHA Eagles on Thursday.

FBCHA's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Marissa Angeles, who had seven digs and five aces. Another player making a difference was Melody Coleman, who had eight kills and seven digs.

HCYA has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's taken a bite out of their 4-6-1 record this season. FBCHA (31-13-2) has now won five in a row.

HCYA does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for FBCHA, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Reno County HomeSchool on the 15th.
