Baseball Game Preview: Frazier Commodores vs. California Trojans

For the second straight game, Frazier will face off against California. The Commodores will host the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Frazier has three straight wins, California has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Frazier proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by 13) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their pitchers stepped up to hand California a 1-0 shutout.

For California's part, Weston Monticelli spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. Monticelli also tossed a walk, which is notable because the Trojans are 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 2-5-2 otherwise.

Frazier's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for California, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-2.
