Baseball Recap: Warren East Comes Up Short

Warren East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 10-6 to the Barren County Trojans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trojans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 last Monday.

William Alexander made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run and two runs. Carter Bessette also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Warren East's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Barren County, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Warren East will head out to face off against Greenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Barren County, they will venture away from home to square off against Grayson County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
