Basketball Recap: Mitchell Comes Up Short

Mitchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Widefield Gladiators and fell 67-28. The Marauders were probably out for revenge after losing 79-21 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

They got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Zain Obregon and Caleb Curlett, who each put up seven points.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Widefield, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Mitchell will challenge Colorado Springs Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Widefield, they will be playing at home against Palmer Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Palmer Ridge will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Widefield surely won't give up without a fight.
