Softball Recap: Tigard Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Tigard dropped their record down to 14-12 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They fell just short of the West Linn Lions by a score of 2-1. Surprisingly, this marked the Tigers' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

As for West Linn, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-6. Surprisingly, this marked their fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

For West Linn's part, they got a great performance from Meadow Sanborn as she didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Sanborn has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Piper Ruthrauff was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Coming up, Tigard will square off against Aloha at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Linn, they will challenge Silverton at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
