Caverna waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Bardstown Tigers get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The Colonels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.
Not much got past Adreana Salvador, who gave up just two hits to keep Bardstown off the board. Salvador has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jayanah Nuckols was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordyn Bethel, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Caverna always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .682. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in five consecutive contests.
