Preview: Tuba City Warriors vs. Window Rock Fighting Scouts

The Tuba City Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Window Rock Fighting Scouts at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Tuba City and nine for the Fighting Scouts.

Tuba City pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Chinle at home by a decisive 74-55 margin. While losing is never fun, Tuba City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Wildcats are ranked 114th).

Tyler Tsinnie was Tuba City's leading scorer, having posted 13 points.

While Window Rock couldn't quite beat the Mustangs on Tuesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 27-point defeat they were dealt on Saturday. Window Rock fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 54-51. Window Rock has not had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Tuba City has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Window Rock, they dropped their record down to 2-19 with that loss, which was their 11th straight at home.

Tuba City beat the Fighting Scouts 54-46 in their previous meeting back in January. Will Tuba City repeat their success, or do the Fighting Scouts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
