Baseball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 8-1 to the Arlington Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 10-0 loss back in April.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Arlington, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lakeside will square off against rival Paloma Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Arlington is set to face off against their familiar foe Valley View at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
