Baseball Recap: Forbush Victorious

Forbush got themselves on the board against Surry Central on Tuesday, but Surry Central never followed suit. They came out on top against the Golden Eagles by a score of 5-0. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Golden Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

The result came thanks to Hunter Conrad's shutout, as he gave up just two hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Colton Moxley was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Bo Moxley also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Forbush's record now sits at 8-3. As for Surry Central, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2.

Forbush will have a chance to go back-to-back against Surry Central: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
