Volleyball Game Preview: Chico Panthers vs. Las Plumas Thunderbirds

The Chico Panthers will square off against the Las Plumas Thunderbirds at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Chico has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Las Plumas will come in with three straight wins.

Chico saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to Twelve Bridges.

Meanwhile, Las Plumas narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Foothill 3-2.

Las Plumas took Foothill into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-22, 25-8, 22-25, 15-10.

Chico's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Las Plumas, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Chico beat Las Plumas 3-1 in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Thunderbirds have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
