Soccer Recap: Desert Pines Takes a Loss

Desert Pines and Chaparral pushed the score to 8-2 the last time they played Chaparral, but on Thursday defenses reigned supreme. The Jaguars took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cowboys. Desert Pines were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Chaparral apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.

Desert Pines now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Chaparral, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Desert Pines will host Rancho at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Desert Pines will be up against Rancho's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.6 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Chaparral, they will take on Sunrise Mountain at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Chaparral are facing Sunrise Mountain at the right time seeing as Sunrise Mountain are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
