Softball Recap: Nelsonville-York Comes Up Short

Nelsonville-York lost against Athens back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Buckeyes lost 18-6 to the Bulldogs. The Buckeyes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Emmie Fowler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Paisley Stadler, who scored two runs and stole two bases.

Nelsonville-York's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Athens, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

Looking ahead, Nelsonville-York will be playing in front of their home fans against Alexander at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Athens, they will head out to face off against Warren at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
