Basketball Recap: Briggs Takes a Loss

Briggs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Africentric Early College Nubians 71-42. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 683rd, while the Nubians are ranked 113th).

Briggs' loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Africentric Early College, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1.

Briggs will be playing in front of their home fans against Walnut Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Africentric Early College, they are taking a road trip to square off against Marion-Franklin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
