Recap: Northwest Whitfield Bruins vs. Cedartown Bulldogs
The Northwest Whitfield Bruins''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 33-7 defeat at the hands of Cedartown. Northwest Whitfield has not had much luck with Cedartown recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Juelz Davis was the offensive standout of the contest as he rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on only 15 carries. Davis' longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Tae Harris, who gained 111 total yards and a touchdown.
Northwest Whitfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Cedartown, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-3.
Northwest Whitfield will head out on the road to face off against Stephenson at 7:30 p.m. on November 11th. Stephenson will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Cedartown will take on Holy Innocents Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Holy Innocents Episcopal is ranked 81st, while Cedartown is ranked 94th).
