Brennan extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region IV District 28 this week by beating Edison, 62-0. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.

Brackenridge was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from fourth to second in the league. Earlier in the week, the Eagles triumphed over Jefferson 55-11.

Edison's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Golden Bears feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jonathan Hernandez has thrown for 237 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Andres Aguilar has 6 catches for 105 yards.

The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Brennan takes on second place Brackenridge. Brennan beat the Golden Bears last week, while Brackenridge topped the Mustangs.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Stephen Basore's team takes on Willie Hall's team. The Bears have allowed 21 points this season, while the Eagles have given up 93. Brennan allowed 0 points last week as it bested Edison.

Burbank moved up to 839 from 1,015 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in 4A Region IV District 28. The Bulldogs were able to move up by beating Highlands 43-21.
