Basketball Recap: East Carter Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

East Carter came into Friday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on the West Carter Comets with a sharp 46-24 victory on Friday. The 46-point effort marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

East Carter's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8. As for West Carter, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Carter will welcome Elliott County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Carter, they and Floyd Central will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played.
