Softball Recap: Morton Ranch Comes Up Short

Morton Ranch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-2 to the Cinco Ranch Cougars. That's two games in a row now that the Mavericks have lost by exactly 15 runs.

Morton Ranch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Karime Jaimes, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Morton Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Cinco Ranch, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, Morton Ranch and Cinco Ranch will both be playing Seven Lakes the next time they take the field. Morton Ranch will head out to face Seven Lakes at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Cinco Ranch will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
