Prospect dropped their record down to 16-10 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piedmont Hills Pirates. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

As for Piedmont Hills, they pushed their record up to 18-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games.

For Piedmont Hills' part, Alex Tran and Josh Gomez did most of the damage at the plate: Tran went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double, while Gomez went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI Tran has posted since back in April.
