Baseball Recap: Kennedy Falls Short Against Ranked Xavier

Kennedy faced Xavier in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Cougars fell just short of the Saints by a score of 13-12. The Cougars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Saints earlier this season, when they won 9-1.

Kennedy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Xavier, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kennedy will head out to take on Western Dubuque at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bobcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Xavier, they are taking a road trip to challenge Dubuque Senior at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
