Fruita Monument has gone a perfect 10-0 against Grand Junction Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Wildcats will host the Warriors at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Fruita Monument's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Grand Junction Central has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
Fruita Monument gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Durango with a sharp 11-1 win.

Gavin Cardoza was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Fruita Monument is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-6 otherwise. Cardoza was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.
In other batting news, Blake Elsberry and Sam Hawkins did most of the damage at the plate: Elsberry went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Hawkins got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most RBI Hawkins has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Asa Alfstad, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Fruita Monument was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Durango only posted a batting average of .095.
Meanwhile, Grand Junction Central lost 7-1 to Grand Junction on Friday.
Grand Junction Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tyrus Kellerby, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.
Fruita Monument has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Grand Junction Central, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.
